Arvid Larsen ARVID LARSEN

Arvid was born in Norway, where his first stage roles included the part of Perchik, the student in Fiddler on the Roof. He went on to appear in several other Norwegian productions, including Chess, Godspell, and Don Juan 2000.

He came to England and completed his training in musical theatre at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 1996.

Arvid was immediately offered the role of Artie Green in the German production of Sunset Boulevard. He returned to the UK in November 1997 to take up the role of The Beast in Beauty and the Beast at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, a performance he later repeated in the show's national tour. He also completed a run as Prince Charming at The Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage.

Arvid came to Joseph in May 2000 directly from a highly successful run in the Really Useful Group's UK and German tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, in which he performed the leading roles of Simon and Jesus on many occasions. Arvid left Joseph in November 2000, and appeared as Prince Lorenzo in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' at High Wycombe. During 2001 he starred as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar in the show's UK tour. He played Sakura in Space Family Robinson at the Pleasance Theatre, London in May 2002. He has rejoined the UK tour of Joseph from September 2002. Back to Cast List

Vivienne Carlyle VIVIENNE CARLYLE

Vivienne was born in Glasgow and graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BA Degree in Community Arts, for which she received a commendation.

Vocally trained by Peter Wilson, and by Mary Hammond, she is also an accomplished pianist. Vivienne made her first professional debut as Maid Marion in Babes in the Wood at the King's Theatre, Glasgow. Other pantomime credits include The Genie in Aladdin and principal girl in Mother Goose at Kilmarnock and Ayr.

Vivienne appeared in Shehallion in Glasgow (world premiere and recording) and has worked for several seasons with Scottish Opera. In addition, she has appeared as guest vocalist in the Gaiety Whirl in Ayr.

She has performed backing vocals with Barry Manilow, Michael Bolton and Dina Carroll.

Vivienne left the Joseph tour during 2001, but resumed the role of narrator in 2002. Back to Cast List

Tim Goodman TIM GOODMAN

Tim trained at the Webber Douglas School in the sixties and acquired further experience on tour and with many of the leading provincial companies of the day, playing a wide variety of leading roles in everything from Shakespeare to musical comedy.

Tim created the role of Fyedka in the original West End cast of Fiddler on the Roof and co-starred as the dashing Major Duncan Heyward in the BBC TV serial The Last of the Mohicans. He starred in two other classic TV serials The Crocodile for the BBC and Iron Horse for ITV. Tim also made guest appearances on series such as The Protectors and The Persuaders and Dr Who.

After co-starring in several tours and working in radio, he went into drama teaching in 1975. Tim took early retirement from his post as Artistic Director and Deputy Headmaster of the prestigious Arts Educational School at Tring Park in order to resume acting. He left Joseph in Autumn 2000 and shortly afterwards played in Aladdin at Eastbourne. Back to Cast List

Trevor Jary TREVOR JARY

Trevor has been performing since an early age, and his first taste of professional theatre was with the English National Opera at the age of eleven where he played a cameo role in Green Children directed by Nicola LeFanu.

His credits include Dick in Dick Whittington with which he toured the North of Britain, Orsino in Twelfth Night Fever and Cpt Claudio in Much Ado Ron Ron, both staged at the Key Theatre, Peterborough and directed by Derek Killeen. He has appeared in several charity concerts, including at the Brighton Dome where he worked alongside Cliff Richard, Lenny Henry and Lionel Blair and was directed by Carole Todd. He also starred in the TV series The One on GMTV and had a record deal with Mercury records, and released two singles and an album where he toured the UK and parts of Europe. Trevor is still with the UK tour of Joseph. He also appeared in Channel 4's 'Make my Day' during 2002. Back to Cast List

Ben Harlow BEN HARLOW

Ben trained at the National Youth Theatre and Middlesex University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts in June 1996. Whilst at school, Ben played A-Rab in West Side Story, a production which won 4 Barclays Awards at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. With the National Youth Theatre, he played the narrator in The Jungle Book followed by the part of Fred in Lionel Bart's musical Maggie May at The Royalty Theatre in London, directed by Ed Wilson and David Toguri. Credits at Middlesex include A Clockwork Orange, Oleanna and the role of Gary Gilmore in Ben's own play The Omega Suite (co-written with Tim Godwin). On graduation, Ben played Malcolm in Macbeth in York and culminating at The Duke of York's Theatre in London. He then played the title role in the children's play The King of Copenhagen on a UK Tour. In 1998, Ben sang extracts from Hair with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis, before creating the role of Pete in the UK Tour of Girls' Night out in Ibiza, directed by Carole Todd. Television credits include 01 for London (Carlton) and Silent Witness (BBC) He is also a keen stand-up comedian and has appeared at London's King's Head Comedy Club. Since leaving Joseph in November 2000, Ben played Gaston in Beauty and the Beast's UK tour during 2001/2002. Back to Cast List

James Nash JAMES NASH

James trained at The London School of Musical Theatre.

Theatre work includes: Babes in the Wood (Alan A Dale), and Applause (Danny) both for the Concordia Theatre - Leicester.

At the Bridewell Theatre James created the role of "Uncle Tony" in the European Premiere of Lucky Stiff.

James has also performed on a world wide cruise for P&O, and during a six month Mediterranean season as lead vocalist for Airtours. He left the UK tour of Joseph early in 2001. Back to Cast List

Russel Hicken RUSSEL HICKEN

Russel trained at Mountview Theatre School on the 3 year Musical Theatre Course, where he was awarded the Mountview singing scholarship two years running.

Musical theatre credits include: Plant Operator in Little Shop of Horrors, Apollo in a new musical version of Orpheus, Sarah the cook in Dick Whittington directed by Roger Redfarn. Russel was seen more recently playing Princess Perins in a Star Wars spoof pantomime called Luke Back in Anger.

Other credits include: Bergetto in 'Tis Pity she's a Whore, Silveus in As You Like It. Russel also featured in a short film called Glimpses of the Moon playing the part of Alan. He has also appeared in a V05 Shampoo advert. Russell continues with the UK tour of Joseph, having taken a break during 2002. Back to Cast List

Ryan Keeton RYAN KEETON

Ryan Keeton trained at Mountview Theatre School in London, where he played the roles of Lord Abe in Pacific Overtures and Tobias in Sweeney Todd. His subsequent UK theatre credits include national tours of Die Fledermaus, Iolanthe, The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado with The Carl Rosa Opera Company. In South Africa his work includes: an extensive tour of the hit compilation show The Doo Wah Boys 2, La Cage Aux Folles in Johannesburg and the Gala Benefit Concert Sondheim on Sunday. During 1999 he played the roles of Ovington and Tackaberry in the revival of Frank Loesser's musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at the Landor Theatre in London. He then appeared in his second season in the Covent Garden Festival production of Trial by Jury which played to capacity audiences at Bow Street Magistrates Court, and recorded his first mini-CD: New Old Friends. He spent the summer season 1999 at The Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe appearing in Beauty and the Beast, Magic of the Musicals and Rock and Roll Experience. Also during 1999, together with a fellow actor, he formed a new production company Metaphor Productions and in November they presented a highly acclaimed production of The Fantasticks at The Pentameters Theatre, London, in which he also played the role of Matt. John Melvin JOHN MELVIN

John has appeared in a wide range of productions both in Britain and abroad. His numerous pantomime credits include the King in Robinson Crusoe and Captain's Mate in Dick Whittington in which he also understudied Wayne Sleep. He has toured extensively in national tours of Ten Times Table, Swan Esther, Hello Dolly! (starring Dora Bryan), Barnum (playing Chester Coleman and Senator Templeton) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in which he played the role of Benjamin. John's West End credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Vaudeville, Sadler's Wells and Royalty Theatres (playing Benjamin and covering the part of Joseph), Jeanne at Sadler's Wells and Robin - Prince of Sherwood at the Piccadilly Theatre, playing the role of James the Dean. Most notable among his TV appearances are Samuel Beckett's Mime for Two Players, Hearts of Gold, Hangar 17 and Blue Peter, and on film Pete in Gathering Stones and After Dinner for Sloane Films. John continues with the UK tour of Joseph.Back to Cast List

Ben Stock BEN STOCK

Ben trained at the Guildford School of Acting graduating in 1997 with a First Class Honours Degree and the Principal's Prize for Musical Theatre.

He made his professional debut playing the role of Alan-a-Dale in Robin Hood at The Palace Theatre Watford. In London Ben has appeared in Anyone can Whistle for the Convent Garden Festival, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as part of the Lost Musicals at The Barbican. A Handful of Keys directed by Julia McKenzie and Follow That Girl at the Theatre Museum. He has also appeared in Old Tyme Music Hall at the famous Players Theatre and in the Vivienne Ellis Awards at the London Palladium. Other roles include The Cabin Boy in New Edna - The Spectacle at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, and Eugene in Grease at the Cambridge Theatre.

Ben appeared in La Cage Aux Folles at the English Speaking Theatre, Frankfurt. He is an accomplished pianist and has extensive solo Cabaret experience. After leaving Joseph in May 2001 he went on to become musical director and performer in Zippertydoodah! in London. He also appeared in Annie - the musical in Perth, Scotland, and in Cinderella with the London Bubble Company. He played in 'Over my Shoulder' at the Jermyn Street Theatre, London, and is also on the original cast recording of the show. Back to Cast List

Stuart Tayler STUART TAYLER

Stuart was awarded the Sorrel Carson Scholarship to train at ALRA on the three year musical theatre course. Since leaving college credits include Dancer in Aladdin (Richmond Theatre), Aladdin (Leeds Grand Opera House), Dancer and member of acrobat troupe The Nitwits in Jack and the Beanstalk (Bath Theatre Royal).

Created the roles of Tiresias and Marcus in the world premiere of Antigone - The Musical at the Wimbledon Studio. Performed the roles of Pirate/Policeman and understudied and played the Police Sergeant in the No1 UK tour of The Pirates of Penzance starring Paul Nicholas.

Recording credits include Andre Delambre/the Fly in The Fly - The Musical (Paul Farrah Productions and First Night Records), and Marcus in Antigone - original concept recording.

Credits as a director and choreographer include Puccini's opera Gianni Schicchi, Godspell, Chicago, Into the Woods and working by Stephen Schwarz (Redroofs Theatre School graduation show). Stuart left the show early in 2001 and joined the German production of Starlight Express.Back to Cast List

Iain Pritchard IAIN PRITCHARD

Iain is originally from Walsall in the West Midlands and made his professional debut at the age of 12 in Damn Yankees and Twelfth Night at the Birmingham Rep. Iain went on to train at the Guildford School of Acting where he received the Principal's Award for Musical Theatre, graduating in July 1999. Whilst training Iain various roles including Adam in Children of Eden, The Wolf and Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Frank Lippencote in Wonderful Town and Zinnawitz in Grand Hotel.

He has sung at the Barbican under the direction of Hugh Woolridge in Sondheim Tonight, appeared at the Chichester Festival Theatre in a Charity Gala and in Cinderella at the Anvil in Basingstoke. Iain played Prince Michael in Snow White at the Devonshire Park Theatre Eastbourne. He left Joseph early in 2001. Back to Cast List

Jason Heppenstall JASON HEPPENSTALL

Jason trained at the Guildford School of Acting where he played various roles such as Jesus in Godspell, Gabrielle in Kiss of the Spider Woman and Rusty Charlie in Guys and Dolls at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford. Professional credits include The Hiss and Boo Variety Show with Danny La Rue and gala performances of Sondheim Tonight at the Barbican Theatre and Anyone can Whistle at the Savoy Theatre. In Belfast, Jason played Prince Leonardo Di Capital in Sleeping Beauty at the Civic Arts Theatre and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel at the Lyric Theatre. Jason made his film debut in 1999 playing David in 'Mum, it's about David' and he was the lead in BBC Crimewatch: Bognor Regis. During 2001 he appeared in a Burger King advert and in Torch Song Trilogy on the London fringe. Back to Cast List

Karl Jones KARL JONES

Karl trained at the London Studio Centre where he completed a three year Diploma course in Drama/Music/and Dance movement. He successfully auditioned and was accepted at the College of Dance in Dublin. His stage credits include the highly successful pantomime Sleeping Beauty in which he was cast as Prince Charming co-starring with Richard Gibson, other theatre credits include God Spotlight Drama Group, Hair Seedtime Company, Chicago and La Traviata Dublin Grand Opera.

His Film/Television Credits include St Patrick with Patrick Bergin, Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog TV series for Fox Television and The Last September with Debra Warner Directing. Karl left the UK tour of Joseph in April 2001. Back to Cast List

Annabelle Dalling ANNABELLE DALLING

Annabelle trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School. She performed with the Birmingham Repertory Company/Peacock theatre The Snowman. Other musical credits include: Titania in The Fairy Queen (The City of London Festival), Lido La Tournee (European tour), Sweet Charity and Dorm (Lynn Seymour). TV credits include Man O Man (ITV) and Death of a Swan (Channel 4 Film). Annabelle left Joseph in November 2000. During 2002 she performed in 'My One and Only' at the Piccadilly Theatre, London. Lisa Quibell LISA QUIBELL

Lisa, from Wales, completed a two-year course at Gorseinon College, Swansea, where she studied performing arts. She has enjoyed successful years as a performer in theatre, cabaret and television, as well as teaching part time at the Mark Jermin Stage School as a vocal coach and assistant choreographer.

Lisa has won nationwide competitions as a cabaret singer, she has performed as a dancer in professional pantomime and has played lead roles in college productions of Oh, What a Lovely War!, Cowardy Custard and Billy. Television appearances include: Lenny Goes to Town (BBC 1), singing with Barbara Dickson, Michael Barrymore's My Kind of Music (LWT) and Moon and Stars (HTV). Jenette Humphris JENETTE HUMPHRIS

Jenette trained at the Central School of Ballet and Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts. Musical Credits include: The Mask (UK tour), Star Line Cruises and various pantomimes. Ellie Sprack ELLIE SPRACK

Ellie studied at the Elmhurst School for Dance and Performing Arts where she portrayed the character of Adelaide from Guys and Dolls. She played in Joseph at the Baltimore Actors Theatre. Ellie left the UK tour of Joseph early in 2001. Back to Cast List
